Eleanor Bakewell
Eleanor loves styling hair as a way to care for others. She grew up in Ventura and first learned to cut hair from her Grandmother. She taught her how to cut all of her family's hair in the garage with a bed sheet, this inspired her to later choose a career in Cosmetology. After High School she attended Paul Mitchell the school in Santa Barbara where she met her mentor John Paul Strand, a fashion photographer and hairstylist who studied under Vidal Sassoon. After school she moved to Los Angeles where she apprenticed Tina Dizon at the Private Room and learned about the Beverly Hills blow dry. Afterwards, she apprenticed at the French Salon Frederic Fekkai for two years where she learned the nuance of French Balayage and natural soft haircutting techniques. She worked for three years at the Color Bar in Ventura before joining the team at Architexture.
On her free time, Eleanor enjoys an array of arts from oil painting to filmmaking. She loves watching old movies and spending time in nature with her puppy Louise. Her experience in art heavily influences her styling and cutting techniques. She loves creative collaboration with others and views hair styling as enhancing God's creation. She loves styling hair to highlight each person's unique and natural beauty.
